MASTERS OF MODERNISM

The centennial anniversary of art collector Gunnar Didrichsen (1903-1992) is celebrated by a jubilee exhibition with works of art from the Didrichsen Art Museum, the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Denmark and Villa Mairea, Finland. The creators of the mentioned collections - Marie-Louise and Gunnar Didrichsen, Knud W. Jensen and Maire Gullichsen - all shared a common interest in modern art and architecture.

The Didrichsen art collection has primarily been created in the 1950´s and 60´s, a period which also the exhibition concentrates on. The selection from the three collections forms a unique presentation of international contemporary art. The exhibition also has a historical part with information on the Didrichsen family, the collection and the architecture.
