Exhibition change 29.1.-9.2.2018 – the museum is closed

Osmo Rauhala’s exhibition Mirror Test has now ended. A big thank you to our over 21 000 visitors who came to see the exhibition!

We are currently building our new exhibition Ahti and Maija Lavonen – In Harmony, which will open on February 10, 2018. Welcome back then!

Didrichsen Art Museum wishes you all happy holidays, the museum will be closed 23.-25.12. Welcome back on Boxing Day December 26! Free admission 26.12.2017-1.1.2018. Opening hours: 11 am to 6 pm (31.12. 11 am to 4 pm).

Light art and free admission on December 5 and 6, 2017.

Free admission on All Saints’ Day 4.11.2017

The museum is open on All Saints’ Day, Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 11 am to 6 pm. Free admission during the whole day. Guided tour in English to Osmo Rauhala’s exhibition at 12 pm.

New exhibition 9.9.2017: Osmo Rauhala – Mirror Test

Guided tours to the exhibition in English on the first Saturday of every month at 12 pm.

Coming tours: 4.11.2017, 2.12.2017 & 6.1.2018. No reservation needed. The tour is included in the museum ticket.

Ferries to the Didrichsen Art Museum

Ferries run from the Market Square to the Didrichsen Art Museum every Saturday during summertime (10.6.-26.8.2017).

See the western archipelago of Helsinki on the way and enjoy art, architecture and nature on the peaceful island of Kuusisaari. You can also visit our neighbor, Villa Gyllenberg Art Museum, situated only a short walk away from the pier.

New exhibition open: Fashion Artist Jukka Rintala

Fusion of art and fashion  – the Didrichsen Art Museum’s summer exhibition highlights the works of Finnish haute couturist Jukka Rintala. The exhibition features Rintala’s designs, paintings and jewelry coupled with art works from the museum’s own collection.
